Our auction bidding process works on maximum bids. Our web site will bid on your behalf up to the maximum bid you specify.
When you place your bid, you are entering the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item we are auctioning.
The other bidders do not know your maximum bid but it will be displayed on this auction page when you are signed in (in case you forget!).
Our web site will make bids on your behalf using the bid increment amount, which is based on the current high bid.
Our web site will only bid as much as necessary to make sure that you remain the high bidder up to your maximum bid amount.
If another bidder places a higher bid than your maximum bid, our web site will notify you so that you can place another bid.
Your maximum bid is kept confidential until it is exceeded by another bidder. If another bidder makes a bid equal to your
maximum bid your maximum bid will stand as you got there first! A new bid has to exceed your maximum bid.
